If you live in Long Island and need a podiatrist to give you
foot orthotics, lets think on what to do. Now if a patient has
insurance, and is being treated for a plantar faciitis the
office visit would be covered regarding the examination and
treatments for the plantar faccitis which may include even
oral medication .Part of a podiatrists examination
sometimes includes a static exam and a gait analysis. The
problem arises is that foot orthotics are not covered by some
insurance companies. This could happen in Long Island or
anywhere. Foot orthotics are a durable medical equiptment
device that is generally not covered by some insurance
companies. Please understand that some of my patients
have benefited from the use of felt I placed in their shoes to
attempt to alter their gait. The felt was a lot cheaper than
the orthotics, but was not as permanent a treatment. Felt is
not as durable as suborthalon foot orthotics. Also felt is not
custom made to fit the foot when the foot is attempted to
be casted in it's "optimal position".
I tried orthotics labs and my favorite orthotics lab is STJ. I
PERSONALLY USE STJ ORTHOTICS LABS BECAUSE OF THE
PERSONAL ATTENTION THEY GIVE REGARDING ANY
QUESTIONS I HAVE. I ASKED THEM SO MANY QUESTIONS
AND THEY HAVE BEEN VERY PATIENT WITH ME. I WANT
WHAT IS BEST FOR MY PATIENTS AND THIS IS WHY I
CHOOSE AND I TRUST STJ ORTHOTICS LAB. Regarding any
heel pain, I got some good results with the heel spur
special. STJ ORTHOTICS LABS CAN BE REACHED AT 1 800
321-4785. Please understand that whenever there is any
orthotic made, it is important to do a gait analysis and a
static exam and to take an accurate cast and to
communicate with the lab and to choose correct materials
for the orthotic and correct shoes. Sometimes I even send
the patients shoes and the foot orthotics so that STJ can
attempt to get a more accurate orthotic fabricated. If I were
a patient, I would probably ask my podiatrist about the lab
that is fabricating my foot orthotics. As in any podiatric
exam, diagnosis or treatment there are no guarantees.
